4 Ways to SEE BEYOND 20/20

There are 20 visual skills high performance athletes rely on every day when they practice or play.  At 4Sight iCare we address them all 20 with a comprehensive look at Sports Vision Training.

At 4Sight iCare, we believe there are 4 ways to improve these visual skills beyond 20/20:

4 Ways to See beyond 20_20

  1. Optimize the optics to achieve the best visual acuity.
  2. Ocular nutrition consultation and testing to improve: contrast sensitivity, glare recovery, and visual processing speed.
  3. Exercising the eye muscles to: track, converge, diverge, change focus, read, improve hand-eye coordination, and pick up moving visual stimuli faster.
  4. Train the brain to improve: split attention, multiple object tracking, central fixation without suppression, depth perception at near and far, peripheral/spatial awareness, and recognition of rotation or other visual cue.

We call the work we do with our clients training because vision training is not rehabilitation of a broken system, it is training a functional system to become faster and better so that the visual system can function at a higher level.   By training the eyes and brain to process the visual information more efficiently with greater depth, athletes at all levels can see notable improvements in the way they see the field.  And because many of these same visual skills are used in the classroom, the student athlete is able to benefit in two ways from the training.
